Title : Comparative Study of TSH Quantification in Two Similar Novel Microfluidic Technology Hormone Analyzers[Paper-1(Research Paper)]
Authors : Ankit koirala, Nitesh Kumar Sah
Abstract :
Prevalence of the endocrine and metabolic disorders is common globally, and thyroid disorders constitute a major problem. Serum TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) level determines the functional status of thyroid gland. Therefore, estimation of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) levels is a basic attempt to diagnose and manage the treatment of thyroid disorders. Recently, analytical technologies for biological fluids has been developed to replace the traditional analytical methods that rely on large sophisticated instruments that require more turn over time, energy, skilled manpower and are less sensitive and cost high. In contrast, immunoassays are popular because of its inexpensive and convenient nature.

Title : A Study of the Ulnar Nerve Variations and its Clinical Implications [Paper-2(Research Paper)]
Author : Shaguphta T. Shaikh
Abstract :
Aims: Because anatomical variations frequently increase the danger of misdiagnosis, a thorough evaluation of nerve variations is essential to the efficiency of clinical or surgical practise. One of the main nerves involved in neuropathy is the ulnar nerve (UN). The ulnar nerve's anatomical variations have been noted in the current investigation, and their potential clinical implications have been taken into account. Method and Materials: The ulnar nerve was examined in 100 upper limbs for potential alterations. A study has been done on careful observation for any abnormal formation and/or communication in regard to the UN.

Title : The Marvel of Surgery - Infantile Parotid Hemangioma[Paper-4(Case Report)]
Authors : Arpit Oberoi, Joanne Niti Philip, Praveen Jhanwar
Abstract :
Parotid hemangiomas represent 0.4-0.6% of the tumors of the parotid gland and are more commonly seen in the pediatric population compared to adults1. The usual age of presentation is 3-4 months2. Salivary gland tumors are rare in children, with an incidence of less than 5%. However, despite being rare tumors, hemangiomas are the most common benign tumor of the salivary glands in children2. Treating parotid hemangiomas can be challenging due to their profuse growth, which in turn causes significant disfigurement and vascular shunting leading to congestive cardiac failure.

Authors : Rahul Audichya, Deepak Salvi, Swati Daruka, Suresh Mehta
Abstract :
The purpose of the present case study was to assess, diagnose, and demonstrate the use of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) approach in dealing with a case of social anxiety disorder. This case report discusses the case of 24 years old young man referred to us due to long term issues of social anxiety and associated low mood about himself. Scores were obtained on Social Interaction Anxiety Scale (SIAS) and The Beck Depression Inventory-II at base line and at the termination of therapy. The framework of CBT was used to facilitate the client’s understanding about his own thought process, to enable him to recognize faulty cognitions and reframe them in the present context.

Title : Electrocardiographic Diagnosis of Left Ventricular Hypertrophy – A Strong Predictor of Cardiovascular Morbidity and Mortality[Paper-6(Review)]
Authors : Kavita Singh and S.K. Verma
Abstract :
Left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) is defined as an increase in the left ventricular mass. It is a physiologic response to the increased wall stress from volume or pressure overload. When the stress is prolonged, the changes become pathological. It can also be associated with genetic and infiltrative disorders and a risk factor for sudden death. Various methods are available to assess the LVH. The present review will restrict to electrocardiographic criteria for evaluation of LVH.

Title : Psychological Management of Irritable Bowel Syndrome: A Review [Paper-7(Review)]
Authors : Swati Daruka, Deepak Salvi, Rahul Audichya, Suresh Mehta
Abstract :
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is a chronic disabling condition in which dysfunction of the brain-gut axis plays a central role. It is one of the most commonly occurring functional Gastro-intestinal disorders in which psychological factors are thought to have significant impact. Although clear causes of IBS are not known, stress and anxiety are known to have acrucial effect on the initiation and maintenance of the symptoms of IBS. There is no cure for IBS. Hence, treatment is mainly focused on the management of symptoms. An amalgamation of pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy gives good results in the management of associated symptoms of IBS. Psychological therapies like relaxation therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, psychodynamically oriented therapies, gut-directed hypnotherapy, CBT are very efficacious in the treatment of symptoms. This review aims to explore the various psycho-social factors and the role of non-pharmacological ways to manage IBS symptoms.
